The Final Fantasy XIV Online open beta is now live on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, finally allowing players to test out the excellent MMORPG by Square Enix.

The open beta, which is only available for new players and doesn't require an Xbox Game Pass Core/ Ultimate subscription, includes the base game as well as the first two expansions, Heavensward and Stormblood. Progression made in the open beta is also carried over to the full version of the game, although the open beta, much like the Free Trial, comes with a variety of limitations over the full version of the game, as listed here.
