Things unceasingly take an erratic turn in Elon Musk's glittering world, perhaps more so than ever before. One such unexpected fork occured recently when, despite having dithered for quite a while, Elon Musk finally reached out to Mark Zuckerberg to schedule a practice session of their much-hyped cage match, proposing a proximal date.

As per a tweet by Walter Isaacson, Elon Musk reached out to Mark Zuckerberg in the early hours of Sunday, proposing the house of the CEO of Meta as the location for a "practice bout."

A bit more interesting is Zuckerberg's stoic response to Elon Musk's relentless attempts at creating a media spectacle of their proposed cage match:

"I don't want to keep hyping something that will never happen ..."

Later on, Zuckerberg gave additional details in a dedicated post:

Bear in mind that, in recent days, Musk had been dithering in proposing an actual date for the much-hyped match, citing the need for an MRI – and potentially a surgery – as well as his professed preference for a "battle of brains." That hesitation seems to have subsided now, as indicated by Elon Musk's desire to hold a practice session, that too on the coming Monday.

The bad blood between the CEO of Tesla and Mark Zuckerberg when news emerged that Meta was seeking to launch a Twitter rival called THREADS. Musk then challenged Mark Zuckerberg to a cage match. The CEO of Meta responded by asking Musk to choose the location of the hyped-up cage match. The answer from the CEO of Tesla was a one-liner tweet: "Vegas Octagon."

A few days back, Elon Musk tweeted that the cage match will be live-streamed on Meta and X, with the CEO of Tesla already having secured an "epic location" somewhere in Italy after talking with the country's minister of culture.

Mark Zuckerberg remains the favorite to win the proposed cage match, given his mixed martial arts training. Zuckerberg is 5" 7 and weighs around 70 kg. In contrast, Elon Musk is 5" 11 and weighs 81 kg. At 39, the CEO of Meta is also younger than Elon Musk, who is now 51 years old.

Update: Elon Musk Responds

Elon Musk has just responded to Mark Zuckerberg's caustic tweet, calling him a "chicken" for "moving on" until such tine as the CEO of Tesla is able to express due seriousness regarding their planned altercation.
