Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC expansion continues to be in the works, while Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon exceeded expectations, according to Kadokawa Games' latest report.

FromSoftware's parent company's new financial report does not include, sadly, any new information regarding the highly anticipated expansion, which still lacks a release date. Much like previous reports, the Future Outlook segment of the report only mentions how FromSoftware will further step up efforts to improve profitability in the medium to long term. On the other hand, the studio's latest titles, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, has done quite well on the market, exceeding expectations.

While nothing new was said regarding Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Kadokawa did make an important announcement in its final report, confirming it has acquired the Octopath Traveler series developer ACQUIRE from GungHo Online Entertainment. The acquisition was made to strengthen the company's ability to create IP in games.

With the game's second anniversary coming up, many expected to learn something more regarding the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree expansion in Kadokawa's financial report. If the expansion is indeed launching to celebrate this occasion, however, it should be revealed soon, so there's the chance that the long wait may not be much longer.

Elden Ring is now out on PC and consoles. You can learn more about the game by checking out my review.

Elden Ring is not only the best action RPG developed by From Software but one of the best open-world titles ever made. A masterclass of game design, Elden Ring isn't just a game but an epic dark fantasy journey that no one will be able to forget for a very long time.
