Today, Apple has seen fit to release the fourth developer beta of its forthcoming iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26 updates to developers. The betas have been released to curate bugs and issues for the final launch, which is expected to take place later this year in September. If you are a registered developer, you can download and install the latest beta updates on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac through the Settings app, but be sure to link your Developer Account with your Apple ID to receive the update over the air.
Developers can now test Apple's latest betas with new features, improvements, and bug fixes
iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 beta 4 can be downloaded and installed on all compatible iPhones and iPads from the Settings app. All you have to do is launch the app and head over to General > Software Update > Beta Updates > and then follow the on-screen instructions to install the builds. The process is the same for iPhone and iPad, so do not worry about that. iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 are major updates, considering the number of features and changes the company brought to the table, including the new Liquid Glass redesign. The fourth beta will improve the overall performance of the platforms, bringing better stability and a boatload of bug fixes.
Apart from iOS 26, Apple has also released the fourth developer beta of macOS Tahoe 26 to developers, and the update can be downloaded on compatible Macs using the Software Update mechanism in System Settings. Make sure that your Apple ID is linked to your Developer account; if it is not, the beta update will not show up in the Settings. macOS Tahoe 26 is an equally important update, bringing the same Liquid Glass redesign to the Mac along with a plethora of additional utilities for enhanced productivity and performance.
Apple has also released the fourth developer beta of watchOS 26, visionOS 26, and tvOS 26 to developers. If you are a registered developer, the updates can be installed on your compatible devices through the Settings app. While the developer beta has reached its fourth cycle, the company also plans to release the first public beta soon. Since the builds currently fall under the beta category, we would advise users to install them on secondary devices to avoid unexpected issues getting in the way of their daily tasks. How is your experience with the Liquid Glass redesign? Let us know in the comments.
