Yesterday, during the Xbox Partner Preview March 2026 event, we learned that AdHoc Studio's beloved superhero supervisor adventure story, Dispatch, would finally be making its way to Xbox Series X/S consoles. What's more, is that like the PS5 and PC version of the game, the Xbox Series version will not be censored. But the studio is still working to find a solution for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions.

Following Dispatch getting its Xbox Series X/S in yesterday's event, when AdHoc announced the news on its studio's X (formerly Twitter) page, unsurprisingly, some of the first comments thrown its way were about censorship.

It was quite the stir within the game's community that the Switch and Switch 2 versions arrived censored, especially because, until AdHoc clarified what happened, it seemed like the studio had tried to sneak the changes by players.

So it was at least a bit of a relief to read that the Xbox version would not suffer the same censored fate.

As for the Switch and Switch 2 versions of the game? Well, it seems like things are still complicated there, as a solution has yet to be reached. "We're still actively working with Nintendo on an update and will let you know as soon as it's ready," the studio said in response to one user.

Of course, whether the studio will actually be able to release an update that allows for the Switch and Switch 2 versions to be on par with the PS5, Xbox, and PC versions is still up in the air. Due to censorship laws in Japan and AdHoc potentially being unable to afford getting around them by releasing a separate Japan-only version of the game (which is how CD Projekt RED got around this issue when putting Cyberpunk 2077 on Nintendo Switch 2), this could all still end with Dispatch forever censored on Nintendo consoles.
