Despite the New Galaxy AI, Bixby Will Continue to Exist within One UI

As impressive as Galaxy AI might be, it appears that Samsung is not going to let it kill Bixby. Samsung has made it clear that despite the new AI features coming to the Galaxy S24 and older devices, the virtual assistant is going to remain here, and now I am hoping that the South Korean tech giant actually uses AI to make Bixby even more powerful.

Samsung has no plans on giving up on Bixby despite Galaxy AI taking the center stage

Galaxy AI was officially announced back in November, and today, it finally saw the official announcement. This is a hybrid artificial intelligence with some features working on-device while others are being handled via the cloud. Samsung talked extensively about how it will improve the overall smartphone experience.

Given so much focus on the Galaxy AI, we would not blame you for thinking that Samsung will eliminate the Bixby. However, that is not the case. Samsung has explicitly mentioned that the digital assistant is going to stay, and not just that, it is actually going to grow in the future. It shows that Samsung has a plan to ensure that its digital assistant only gets better with age.

If Samsung is serious, and this is the case, then I would really like Galaxy AI to become a major part of Bixby because it will make the digital assistant much more powerful. Kind of like Assistant with Bard that Google is actively working on. Until that happens, you can continue using the digital assistant in its original stage and keep an eye out for more updates to the assistant in the future.

This is just the beginning for the Galaxy AI, and I cannot wait to see where Samsung plans on taking the latest AI mode. Here is hoping to get a lot of improvements and new additions in the coming months.
