Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, the upcoming current-gen-exclusive expansion to CD Projekt Red’s divisive sci-fi RPG, launches in just a few short weeks. We’ve got a few peeks at gameplay since the expansion was announced last year, but fans have been hungry for more, and today at the big Geoff-Keighly-produced Gamescom Opening Night Live show we got another look at Phantom Liberty in action.

The new Phantom Liberty trailer largely focuses on combat, as CD Projekt Red promises new weapons, perks, and a whole new Relic skill tree. This will let you do cool new things, including deflecting bullets with your katana, throw downed enemies, and more. CDPR also revealed full on vehicular combat is also on the way, and you’ll need it, as police AI has been seriously amped up. Perhaps most surprisingly, CDPR has revealed a lot of these updates won’t be exclusive to Phantom Liberty – they’ll be coming to Cyberpunk 2077 as well in a big 2.0 update. You can check out the trailer for yourself, below.

In addition to the Gamescom trailer above, NVIDIA has also released a new Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty trailer showing off their new DLSS 3.5 tech. Scope that out, below.

Is Phantom Liberty going to be the redemption Cyberpunk 2077 has been crying out for? We shall see, but it looks promising. Need to know more? Check out Wccftech’s latest Q&A with Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty’s developers and the following key features…
