[Update: Confirmed] Bethesda’s Prey Release Date Revealed; Releases On May 5

[Update] Bethesda has officially confirmed that Prey will release on May 5 on all platforms alongside a new gameplay trailer and some screenshots.

Prey, Jotun and Redout Are Free on the Epic Games Store

[Original] The Prey release date has been mentioned by retailer GameStop.

According to the retailer’s weekly ad, the re-imagining of the original Prey will release on May 5th and those who pre-order the game will be receiving the Cosmonaut Shotgun pack. Bethesda hasn’t officially announced the game’s release date and has only confirmed a 2017 release.

Prey was announced during Bethesda’s E3 press conference and is being developed by Arkane Studios – the development studio behind Dishonored.

In Prey, you awaken aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in the year 2032. You are the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever – but things have gone terribly wrong. The space station has been overrun by hostile aliens and you are now being hunted. As you dig into the dark secrets of Talos I and your own past, you must survive using the tools found on the station, your wits, weapons, and mind-bending abilities.

“At Arkane, our passion for creating unique worlds where you can improvise, experiment and play your way has driven our vision for Prey,” said Raphael Colantonio, president and co-creative director at Arkane Studios. “We’re excited to show you more of the sci-fi world we’re creating at QuakeCon this summer.”

If correct, Prey will release this May for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
