Google Bard Chooses iOS Over Android

There is no denying that Google is pretty serious about Bard. After all, the company has decided to integrate its AI chatbot into all the services that it is currently providing. If it becomes a reality, then going forward, we will see Bard making its debut in many services. Now, some new information has surfaced suggesting that the chatbot might be coming to Google Messages, which is smart.

Google Messages with Bard will actually be a really handy feature for everyone using RCS

Assemble Debug spotted this feature in the Google Messages version 20240111_04_RC00, and based on the information found by the source, users will be able to initiate RCS chats with Bard within the app. Users will also be able to add Bard to chats with other users, which does sound like a strange but useful feature going forward.

A screenshot shows that when using Bard with Google Messages, users will be able to write messages, translate languages, identify images, and explore other interests. It also uses the user's location and past chats to provide more answers, which sounds like a feature that many of us would prefer.

It is also worth noting that the feature is not available to use at the time of writing, and it is also important to keep in mind that if you do want to use this feature, you will have to be 18 or above. Chats done on Bard with Google Messages will also not be end-to-end encrypted, and Google has also claimed that all Bard chats and data related to it will be saved for 18 months.

Google has even talked about how users should not be writing messages that they do not want the reviewer to see, so if you are thinking about sensitive information, the company advises against that. If Bard is actively switched off, however, the data will be held for 72 hours.

Whatever the case might be, it is safe to say that Google is taking Bard seriously, and we will soon be able to see its integration in a number of services, including Google Messages. We will let you know once this feature actually starts coming out to users.
