Baldur's Gate 3 is setting out to be one of the biggest role-playing games of all time, and even when it came to ending variations, developer Larian did not hold back at all.

Speaking with Fextralife, one of the game's lead writers confirmed that Baldur's Gate 3 will feature 17,000 ending variations. While the writer wasn't obviously talking about so many different endings, it is still an impressive number of variations, highlighting how much the choices players will make will have an impact on the story up to the very end.

Thankfully, we won't have to wait much longer to experience everything that Baldur's Gate 3 has to offer, as the game launches in a little over two weeks on PC. While PlayStation 5 owners will have to wait until September to get their hands on the game, Xbox Series X and S users will have to wait much longer, as Larian is still working on getting split-screen co-op to run properly on Xbox Series S. As a last resort, the team may remove the feature entirely from the Xbox Series X|S versions, but they are determined to keep it, as it is seen as an important part of the experience.

Baldur's Gate 3 launches on PC on August 3rd and on PlayStation 5 on September 6th worldwide.
