ASUS released a new monitor series called TUF Series Five, adding two new gaming monitors to the catalog, boasting QHD@300Hz and WQHD@250Hz displays.
ASUS Launches VG27AQML5A and VG34WQML5A Under TUF Series Five; Fast IPS and VA Displays with Wide Color Gamut, HDR10 Support, And Ergonomic Design
Popular hardware and peripheral manufacturer, ASUS, has unveiled its latest TUF Series Five lineup at the IFA event, consisting of over 20 new monitor models, ranging from 23.8 inches to 34 inches. These monitors will offer a variety of specifications and resolutions, catering to the demands of most gamers. However, two of these monitors deliver flagship specifications to the enthusiasts. The gaming monitors VG27AQML5A and VG34WQML5A are the company's top-of-the-line offering in the TUF Series Five, delivering high refresh rate, wide color gamut, great connectivity, good ergonomics, and HDR support.

The TUF Gaming VG27AQML5A model is the flagship monitor offering up to 300Hz of refresh rate at 2560x1440p resolution on a 27-inch screen. The monitor uses a Fast IPS panel with a response time of 1ms GtG and has both AMD FreeSync Premium and G-Sync compatibility. This ensures visual clarity, enhancing the gaming experience, which is beneficial for competitive matches. This 27-inch model has a slightly higher contrast of 1300:1 compared to traditional IPS panels and offers 95% of DCI-P3 color space for vibrant images.

The TUF Gaming VG34WQML5A is a bigger 34-inch iteration, bringing a 3440x1440p screen size with a VA panel. It's made for a more immersive experience, thanks to the ultra-wide screen and a 1500R curvature. The monitor can boost up to 250Hz refresh rate, enhancing fluidity, and also has exceptionally good contrast of 4000:1, delivering deeper blacks. Similar to the 27-inch monitor, it also gets a 1ms GtG response time, HDR10 support, 95% DCI-P3 color space coverage, and AMD FreeSync Premium support.

Both monitors offer a highly ergonomic stand for various adjustments and built-in 2W x2 speakers for convenience. Equipped with various enhancement features such as Trace-Free Technology, GameFast Input Technology, Shadow Boost, and Ultra-Low Motion Blur, these monitors aim to enhance visual clarity while giving an advantage in competitive gaming. For connectivity, these are equipped with DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports and also come with a dedicated USB for peripheral connection. The 34-inch monitor gets an additional DP 1.4 port, and 3x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A ports, while the 27-inch monitor has only 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type C port.
ASUS has priced the TUF Gaming VG27AQML5A at 409.9 Euros, including VAT, while the TUF Gaming VG34WQML5A is priced at 459.90 Euros. Both monitors have been launched for sale in EU regions like Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and can be bought via ASUS Stores.
