The budget Intel 800-series motherboards are about to become publicly available after Intel's board partners unveil them at CES 2025. But before we reach the event date, new leaks have exposed the 800-series board designs, and today, we have a look at the first-ever leak of the micro-ATX motherboards with LGA 1851 socket.

A few days ago, we reported about the leaked B860 motherboards, which featured the full ATX form factor, and today, we received pics of two new models from the same company, i.e., ASUS. Thanks to @momomo_us, we have the model name and clear motherboard pics along with their boxes.

One is the ASUS ROG Strix B860-G Gaming WiFi, which features a fully white PCB and heatsinks with some gray accents and ROG Strix branding. This will be a mid-range B860 motherboard in the lineup that will feature modern specifications and features except for a few downgrades over the Z890, such as missing CPU overclocking support and fewer PCI-E lanes. Nonetheless, the B860-G should be able to support modern components like PCI-E Gen 5.0 SSDs and GPUs.

From the picture, we can see some large heatsinks over the VRM and M.2 slots. There is a single PCI-E x16 slot, at least 3x M.2 slots, and 4x SATA ports for storage. At the rear I/O, there seem to be 8x USB Type-A ports and 2x USB Type-C ports. Apart from those, there is 1x HDMI, 1x DP, 3x Audio interface, Wi-Fi, 2.5G LAN, and a switch for either Clear_CMOS or BIOS Flash.

The other is the TUF Gaming B860M-Plus, featuring an all-black PCB design with some TUF accents on the heatsinks. It has got 1x PCI-E x16 slot, 1x PCI-E x4 slot, 4x SATA ports, 3x M.2 slots, and 4x DIMMs. The I/O contains 7x USB Type-A ports and 1x USB Type-C port for peripheral connectivity. There is no built-in Wi-Fi but a 2.5G LAN and 6x Audio jacks.

That sums up the basic specs and features of these two boards. With the launch of Intel Core Ultra 200 non-overclockable chips, these will also hit the shelves since they are ideal for affordable PC builds. Thankfully, the PCI-E 5.0 standard is available on Intel B860 boards, which will support faster next-gen graphics cards natively.
