Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s Gauntlet and Sword Cane Get a Trailer

Ubisoft has made available life-size replicas of the weapons used by Assassin's Creed Syndicate protagonist, Jacob Frye. The Gauntlet and Sword Cane both cost $59.99, and can be seen in the trailer below:

The two weapons certainly make me even more excited about the game. I admit that I am a huge Assassin's Creed fan, and I believe that Syndicate could very well be the series return to its former glory. The incredibly potential setting of Victorian London could provide so many amazing opportunities for an advancement in traversal, mission structure and so many more aspects. The exclusive focus on single player could result in a smoother development process and collaboration between the nine studios and as for the twin siblings dynamic, it creates a very fresh and promising take on the series.

It seems that Ubisoft is really trying to set things right with Assassin's Creed Syndicate and I personally sincerely hope they do. I cannot emphasise enough the potential that the new setting holds, and even though it is set in 1868, I so much hope that it goes well into 1888, and we get a glimpse of jack the Ripper. It would be an immense wasted opportunity if Ubisoft would miss that. It could definitely be one of my favorite real life moments in video games right up there with L.A. Noir's twist on the Black Dahlia murder (sorry if that spoiled anything for you).

I will surely be looking forward to any new information on Assassin's Creed Syndicate and will be reporting everything as soon as it becomes available. Be sure to check out our previous coverage on Assassin's Creed Syndicate, here and here.
