Apple Releases iOS 12.2, macOS Mojave 10.14.4, watchOS 5.2 And tvOS 12.2 To Developers
Developers should know that the latest iOS 12.2 beta 6 is available to download through the Apple Developer Center or over the air. However, do take note that an appropriate configuration profile is required to install the beta. iOS 12.2 will add the new subscription service within Apple News which the company will unveil on March 25.
Apart from iOS 12.2, Apple has also released beta 6 of macOS Mojave 10.14.4 to developers for testing purposes. If you're up for it and want to check it out for yourself, be sure to note that a proper configuration profile is required which can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center. You can update your supported Mac on the latest beta build through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences. macOS Mojave 10.14.4 will bring Apple News to Canada in English, French or both.
If you happen to have an Apple Watch and want to test the latest beta 6 of watchOS 5.2, you can download the proper configuration profile from the Apple Developer Center. To install it on your device, make sure that your iPhone is connected to the watch and then navigate to General > Software Update from the dedicated Apple Watch app.
For all developers wanting to test the latest tvOS 12.2 beta 6, the latest build can be downloaded on the fourth or fifth generation of Apple TV using a profile which can be installed using Xcode on Mac. Subsequent beta builds can be installed over the air after the initial beta has been downloaded.
At this point in time, it might be too early to ask whether a new front-facing feature has been added. For now, we will just wait for the developers to tinker the latest build. There will be more to the story, so be sure to stay tuned in for more.
