Apple Releases visionOS 26 and tvOS 26 With Widgets, Updated Personas, Safari Enhancements, and More

Apple launches visionOS 26 and tvOS 26, introducing new widgets, Personas upgrades, and improved Apple Music Sing features.

Today, Apple has seen fit to release visionOS 26 and tvOS 26 to the public for all compatible devices. The latest updates arrive a week after the company seeded the release candidate builds to developers. If you are interested, visionOS 26 and tvOS 26 can be downloaded on all compatible Vision Pro and Apple TV models for free.

visionOS 26 can be downloaded on the Vision Pro headset by navigating to the Settings app, then selecting General, and then clicking on the Software Update option. To install the update, the Vision Pro needs to be removed, and you will see the progress bar in the front EyeSight display.

visionOS is a major update that brings a new class of widgets that can be integrated into the space around you. Personas have also been upgraded with more lifelike hair and movement. Sparial Scenes have been updated to add depth to 2D images, along with a handful of Safari improvements.

As mentioned, the company has also released tvOS 26 that can run on the Apple TV 4K. To install the latest build, all you have to do is launch the Settings app and go to the Software Update section. if you have automatic updates enabled, the latest tvOS 26 build will be installed automatically.

Similar to the rest of the updates, tvOS 26 has new poster art and an interface that displays more movies and shows at once. Profiles can also be shown when the AppleTV wakes up from sleep, which makes it easier for each person to select their personalized settings and recommendations. The iPhone can now also serve as a mic when using Apple Music Sing, with support for Lyrics Translation and pronunciation.
