AOOSTAR GEM10 370 Mini PC looks pretty much like its predecessor but is more powerful due to the presence of AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU.

The same chassis and storage support but a more powerful AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU will make AOOSTAR's GEM10 Mini PC superior to its predecessor

AOOSTAR, which makes mini PCs based on Intel and AMD mobile processors is set to launch its brand new edition of GEM10, which will be named "GEM10 370". This new mini PC was spotted in a post by @realVictor_M on X, revealing some of the specs of this upcoming GEM10 successor.

It's mentioned that the GEM10 370 will utilize the Strix Point Zen 5-based AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU, making it one of the first Strix Point-based mini PC. This is the major upgrade the GEM10 mini PC will get but at the same time, the GEM10 370 doesn't look to be offering anything additional and will most likely retain the specs and features of the current edition. It's also possible that it might bring an upgrade here and there in connectivity or design but at least from what it looks from the pic, the GEM10 370 is pretty much the same as the regular GEM10 except for the CPU.

The current GEM10 mini PC offers various configurations based on different Zen 4 chips. These can be AMD Ryzen 7 6800H, 7735H, 7840HS, and 7940HS. The GEM10 brings a triple slot 2280 PCI-E NVMe SSD configuration, which is retained on the GEM10 370 version. Moreover, it will bring the OcuLink for connecting PCI-E devices through the external connector, which won't be occupying the M.2 slot.

The GEM10 370 looks just as small as the GEM10 and as per the description, it will retain the same 0.6 L aluminum CNC case, measuring 10.7 x 10.7 x 6 CM in dimensions. This will allow users to carry the GEM10 370 into their pocket pretty easily. With the Ryzen AI HX370 processor, users will get a solid 12 cores, 24 threads configuration with an RDNA 3.5-based Radeon 890M graphics.

Not only will this APU allow users to carry out intensive and AI-related workloads, but it can also let users play games without the need for a discrete GPU. Compared to the best version available of the GEM10, the GEM10 370 will feature 4 more cores and 8 more threads to execute CPU-oriented workloads quicker.

At the moment, there isn't any info about its availability or pricing but it's great to see that we are finally going to have a mini PC based on the Strix Point APUs. Due to a higher price compared to the Zen 4 lineup, most OEMs aren't interested in deploying Strix Point chips in their handhelds or Mini PCs. With the GEM10 370, we might see more mini PCs coming on the way soon and that is the case as Beelink has also announced its next-gen SER9 Mini PC with the same chip for a price of $999 US.
