AOC further expands its monitor lineup by adding two new affordable IPS monitors that bring decent specs for both gaming and work.

AOC Debuts 24-inch and 27-inch QHD B3 Series Monitors; Q24B36X and Q27B36X, Featuring 144 Hz Refresh Rate, Wide Color Gamut, and 0.5 ms Response Time

Popular monitor maker AOC is back with two more monitors. The company has been continuously adding new and more affordable gaming monitors to its arsenal, and the latest models are released under the B3 series. Both monitors offer similar specifications, but on different screen sizes. These monitors feature 24-inch and 27-inch display sizes, so that users can choose the size according to their preferences.

The AOC Q24B36X is a 24-inch monitor with 2560x1440p resolution. The monitor uses an IPS panel and offers a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz out of the box. With a 0.5 ms MPRT response time, it's decently quick and ideal for competitive gaming. Due to a smaller screen size, the monitor offers sharper visuals and boasts 123 PPI (pixels per inch). The color gamut is also wide, including color spaces such as 114.7% sRGB and 88.8% DCI-P3, bringing a vibrant color reproduction.

On the other hand, the AOC Q27B36X is a larger 27-inch display with the same resolution and panel. It's identical to the 24-inch variant in most areas, including the response time, refresh rate, and connectivity. However, the color gamut is even wider, offering 118.5% sRGB and 92.1% DCI-P3 coverage. Connectivity on both models includes an HDMI 2.0 and a DP 1.4 port, which are adequate for the given specs.

Apart from display outputs, these monitors also bring a 3.5mm audio jack for headphones, but there are no USB ports for peripheral connections. Understandably, these monitors bring basic connectivity features since they are classified under the B3 series, aimed at the budget segment that can serve well for both gaming and work.

The AOC Q24B36X and Q27B36X will soon be available for purchase this month, at £109 (US$146) and £129 (US$173), respectively.
