AMD Confirms Full RDNA 4 "Radeon RX 9000" GPU Unveil Set For 28th February, Retail Launch in Early March 1

AMD's Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs are now rumored to launch by March 23, as a new listing by the renowned US retailer B&H Photo mentions this particular date.

AMD's RX 9070 "RDNA 4" GPUs Now Rumored To Debut After Two Months, Likely By Mid-To-End March

Team Red's RDNA 4 GPU launch is indeed troublesome when it comes to pinpointing the exact launch date. Initially, it was anticipated that the models would launch by the end of January; however, that isn't the case now. AMD was reported to push the launch into March, and this has now been verified by a new retailer listing by B&H Photo, as it mentions March 23 as the pre-order date for a Radeon RX 9070 XT SKU. Consumers now have to wait two months more to access AMD's RDNA 4 models.

While the listing is indeed a verified one and comes from a reputable retailer, it's safe to say that the launch date isn't too odd. However, an important point to note here is that AMD doesn't tend to lift a GPU embargo on the weekends, so it's highly likely that March 23 won't mark the exact date when the SKUs will drop into the retail channels, but we can expect them to debut in the latter part of March since that seems the most probable timeline for now.

Just recently, we saw AMD justifying the release delay of RDNA 4 GPUs, claiming that they are working on the software stack and ensuring that FSR 4 comes with extensive support at launch. Moreover, it is anticipated that inventory levels will be much higher compared to NVIDIA's RTX 50 series GPUs, which will potentially give the RX 9070 series an edge here since several consumers may be able to snag up units around the launch date.

It will be interesting to see how AMD's RX 9070 series launch turns out for the markets. As far as we have seen, Team Red is hyping up the debut, claiming to "disrupt" the mainstream GPU segment, and we do hope it turns out as expected.
