GeForce RTX 5090 Prices To Soar To $5000 As NVIDIA & AMD Prep GPU Price Hikes in Q1 26 1

The best-selling NVIDIA and AMD GPUs are no longer among the best sellers due to the recent price hikes. The GPUs are also slowly losing their hold in other regions.

AMD RX 9070 XT and NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti GPUs are No Longer Competing for the Number One Spot on Amazon US

When AMD's RDNA 4 flagship GPU launched last year in March, it quickly rose to the top spot on Amazon's best-selling GPUs list. It didn't take even a single day for the Radeon RX 9070 XT to reach the top spot, with more models following in the top 10 positions. It has been a war between the RTX 5070 series and the RX 9070 XT since then, and both have always stayed near the number one position for months.

Unfortunately, this is now history. Thanks to the rapidly increasing GPU prices, both the popular upper mid-range GPUs are no longer in the top 10, let alone in the first position. We spotted the Radeon RX 9070 XT reaching as high as 11th place, while the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti appears at the 19th position on Amazon US. This isn't the same in every country, but we are definitely seeing both GPUs now disappearing from the top positions on most Amazon stores.

The mid-range offerings from the RTX 50 and RX 9000 have claimed the top spots on Amazon, as it has become incredibly difficult to afford the higher-end options. The RTX 5070 is now at the top spot, which is still selling at MSRP, surprisingly. Then we have the RTX 5060, RTX 5080, RX 9060 XT 16 GB, and the RTX 5060 Ti in the top 10. The RX 9070 XT does appear in the top 10 on Amazon Canada, but its next closest ranking is 23rd, which is a significant drop.

On Amazon UK, the RX 9070 XT appears to be in a much better state, but of course, not even close to the number one position. The RTX 5070 Ti is doing fine on these stores as well, but we can see why users have now started avoiding both GPUs in some regions. Apart from higher pricing, these GPUs have poor availability now. The RTX 5070 Ti is really hard to find on Amazon US, and the rumor of NVIDIA discontinuing the GPU briefly might have affected its availability.

The RX 9070 XT is now easily selling for $100 higher than last month, and users are now instead going with the RTX 5070 or the slower options like the RX 9060 XT 16 GB due to budget constraints.
