Intel Roadmap Slides Leak Haswell Z87 Chipset Motherboards – Launching in Q2 2013

Intel’s upcoming Haswell Z87 Chipset motherboards which allow compatibility with the LGA 1150 socket processors have been detailed through a leaked roadmap slide. The new Haswell motherboards are based on the 8-Series Lynx Point chipset which bring several new features as detailed here.
According to the leaked slide, Intel would launch nine new Socket LGA 1150 motherboard which would be based on the Z87, H87, Q87 chipset to support the Haswell (4th Generation Core) Processors in Q2 2013. Following are the details of motherboards based on each chipset.
Haswell Z87 Chipset Motherboards:
The Intel Z87 Chipset motherboard lineup consists of two LGA 1150 Socket boards.

Intel DZ87KLT-75K
The Intel DZ87KLT-75K is codenamed Kinsley Thunderbolt which as the name suggest would be featuring the latest thunderbolt ports. The motherboard has 4 DDR3 DIMM slots and three PCI-e x16 3.0 expansion slots. 6 external and 2 internal USB 3.0 ports are located on the board. Storage options include 8 SATA 6GB/s ports whereas display is provided through an HDMI connector and I/O includes LAN and an 10 Channel Audio jack.
Intel DZ87KLT-70K
The Intel DZ87KLT-75K is codenamed Kinsley although there are no thunderbolt ports as on the 75K. The motherboard has 4 DDR3 DIMM slots and three PCI-e x16 3.0 expansion slots. 6 external and 2 internal USB 3.0 ports are located on the board. Storage options include 8 SATA 6GB/s ports whereas display is provided through an HDMI and Display Port and I/O includes LAN and an 10 Channel Audio jack.
Intel DZ87CA-55K
The Intel DZ87CA-55K is codenamed Carryville and features 4 DDR3 DIMM slots and two PCI-e x16 3.0 expansion slots. 4 external and 2 internal USB 3.0 ports are located on the board. Storage options include 6 SATA 6GB/s ports whereas display is provided through an HDMI and Display Port and I/O includes LAN and an 10 Channel Audio jack.
Intel DZ87CO-50K
The Intel DZ87CO-50K is codenamed Colebrooke based on a uATX form factor design and features 4 DDR3 DIMM slots and two PCI-e x16 3.0 expansion slots. 4 external and 2 internal USB 3.0 ports are located on the board. Storage options include 6 SATA 6GB/s ports whereas display is provided through an HDMI and DVI and I/O includes LAN and an 6 Channel Audio jack.
The Z87 Chipset motherboards would hit retail by Q2 2013. Prices are yet unknown. Moving on we have the H87 Chipset motherboards:
Haswell H87 Chipset Motherboards:
There are currently three H87 Chipset motherboard planned for launch which will feature the LGA 1150 socket and support for Haswell processors.
Intel DH87MC
Codenamed Meadow Creek, the Intel DH87MC would have 4 DIMM slots with a max capacity of 32 GB. Expansion slots would include 1 PCI-e x16, 1 PCI-e x4, 2 PCI-e x1 and a single mini PCIe card connector. Additionally, there would also be three PCI legacy slots. Storage options consist of 5 SATA 6GB/s and 4 USB 3.0 ports, Audio would include a 10 Channel Jack.
Intel DH87RL
Codenamed Round Lake, the Intel DH87RL would feature a uATX form factor have 4 DIMM slots with a max capacity of 32 GB. Expansion slots would include 1 PCI-e x16, 1 PCI-e x4, 3 PCI-e x1 and a single mini PCIe card connector. Storage options consist of 5 SATA 6GB/s and 6 USB 3.0 ports, Audio would include a 10 Channel Jack.
Intel DH87FB
Codenamed Flat Bay, the Intel DH87FB would feature a uATX form factor have 2 DIMM slots with a max capacity of 16 GB. Expansion slots would include 1 PCI-e x16, and two mini PCIe card connector. Storage options consist of 4 SATA 6GB/s and 6 USB 3.0 ports, Audio would include a 10 Channel Jack. Each H87 motherboard comes with DVI-I, HDMI and a display port.
Intel also has two Haswell motherboards targeted towards the business and enterprise market based on the Q87 chipset, DQ87RG and DQ87PG both featuring a uATX form factor design, Details in the chart below:
Haswell itself along with the motherboards would launch in Q2 of 2013 or to be specific in the month of April. More on that here.
