Gamescom is the world’s largest consumer videogame event

Gamescom is the world’s largest consumer event for videogames, and with this year’s event just around the corner, the floor plans have been made available on the official gamescom website. Microsoft, Activision Blizzard, Electronic Arts and Ubisoft, have some massive booths and so does Sony, even though they will not be holding a press conference this year. Square Enix, Warner Bros. and Konami are also present, as are Take-Two, Bandai Namco, Sega, Konami and Deep Silver.

You can view the detailed floor plans in the gallery below:

Ubisoft has announced that this year’s attendees will be able to get hands-on time with all of their hottest games, including Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Rainbow Six Siege, For Honor, Just Dance 2016, Trackmania Turbo and more. Bandai Namco announced that Dark Souls 3 will be playable at Gamescom 2015 for the first time.

Alain Corre, EMEA Executive Director, Ubisoft states:

“Gamescom is a huge event for us and for players, and this year’s show promises to be one of our biggest and most fan-focused ever”

“Understanding players’ initial thoughts and reactions to the games we’re developing is incredibly important, and by making the Ubisoft games at Gamescom playable, we’re hoping that attendees will have a much more interactive and memorable experience and that their feedback will be even more applicable to our creative teams.”

Gamescom could be the event where we will get announcements for Red Dead Redemption 2 and Mafia 3

Red Dead Redemption 2 and Mafia 3 announcements could be coming at Gamescom as well, so fingers crossed the two hugely anticipated titles will finally be revealed. Xbox boss, Phil Spencer, has previously reported that Xbox’s presence at Gamescom will be as equally impressive as their E3 2015 showing, with as many surprises and content as in the latter. Crackdown, Scalebound and Quantum Break are already confirmed to be making an appearance at the August event in Cologne, Germany, as will surely plenty more.
