Dell is Working On Its Own Tablet To Rival Microsoft Surface
Everyone knows how Dell has been one of the leading Windows laptop makers around the world and now it seems that Dell is moving a step forward to take on the Microsoft Surface Tablet head to head. The company is rumored to be making its very own rival product that we will probably be seeing in the market very soon.
Surface will have stiff competition as clones are on the rise
Since this news is not yet official, there has been no word from the company itself but leaking slides have shown a brand new PC that Dell will call XPS 12. The PC resembles a tablet which will magnetically bolt onto a standalone keyboard. This will make the setup almost similar to the rival Microsoft Surface Tablet. Dell seems to be very dedicated towards providing a touchpad that will run smoothly, along with that the XPS 12 will be featuring an illuminated keyboard. Surface keyboards have been the weak point for Microsoft and it is exactly why Dell has claimed that their touchpad will be ‘working flawlessly’, the XPS 12 will try to tap the remaining market segment and also those who are looking to switch to a better tablet.
According to the source the XPS 12 is better than the Surface Pro 3 in terms of technology. Looking at the display the Dell XPS 12 is reportedly going to have a 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution and will also come with an infinity edge design which will cut down the bezel size of the tablet. It will also be equipped with a stylus.
Other specs of the upcoming XPS 12 also include Thunderbolt 3 port, a 10 hour battery life and front and back cameras as well. Selfie lovers will love this device because it comes with a 5 megapixel front camera which will make you look better in selfies. We are still unsure of other specs such as the processor or RAM information but we will update you on this as soon as we get it.
The XPS 12 is going to launch somewhere in October according to the leak, it will be really exciting to see how the Surface Pro 4 puts up with the Dell XPS 12 as both will soon be here. They will surely be in tough competition as the Surface is already a household name, it will probably be tough for Dell to penetrate this market but they are hoping they will. There is no word on the price as yet we will update you on this too.
