App Store and iTunes Experiencing Widespread Search Issues

A number of users on Twitter and Reddit are reporting facing issues on Apple’s App Store, preventing them to download popular iOS apps. Apps, including Star Wars, Google, Periscope, Spotify, Tidal, Tumblr, Uber, Vine, and many others aren’t showing up in search results unless they are already installed.

If you are unable to find popular apps on the App Store, you are not alone. Widespread search issues on the App Store and iTunes are preventing a number of popular titles from showing up in the search results for users around the world.

Can anyone else see any apps published by Google in the iOS app store?

I can’t even browse to their developer page from my installed apps…

2nd Edit: I spoke to Apple Support, it’s an ongoing issue with search they’re working to resolve. Nothing has been pulled from the store. – Reddit.

Affecting popular apps and games like Google, Spotify and Candy Crush Saga, some users are also reporting seeing incorrect search results. Those on iPad-only search are getting iPhone apps, and vice versa. The problem is being experienced on the iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Macs around the world, as reports are coming from the U.S. Europe, and elsewhere. Apple has now updated its System Status page acknowledging the issue.

Users are experiencing a problem with the App Store. We are investigating and will update the status as more information becomes available.
