Death, taxes, and new World of Warcraft expansions for the mainline games are about the only guaranteed things in life. But a new leak seems to have uncovered the titles for new spin-off games in the long-running franchise, including a Warcraft Chronicles RTS, a new action RPG centred around Athras, and the next evolution of World of Warcraft Classic.

This comes in part from dataminer Stiven on X (formerly Twitter), who uncovered new Heroic and Epic licenses for 'World of Warcraft Camelot,' which is speculated to be the next evolution of WoW Classic, which players have been calling 'Classic+.'

This also follows reports from this past May, where popular WoW streamers hinted at something major coming from Blizzard specifically for fans of Classic WoW, as they were heading to the Blizzard campus for a secret event.

The speculation around an upcoming Classic+ announcement also ties into a post on Reddit that includes an image which appears to show Blizzard's upcoming slate of Warcraft projects. That's where we can easily see a Warcraft Chronicles RTS, an Athras ARPG, and 'Camelot,' clearly listed on the studio's plans.

The Chronicles RTS is listed as scheduled for sometime in 2028, while the Athras RPG is scheduled for sometime in 2029. 'Camelot' or Classic+ is listed as arriving much sooner, specifically sometime during Q3 2026.

Now, it is absolutely worth saying that all of this should be taken with a grain of salt. We know that there's something coming for WoW Classic fans, something that Blizzard executive producer Holly Longdale was cut off from saying right at the end of Blizzard's State of Azeroth presentation earlier this year.

But as for the other rumoured projects, especially since they appear to be much further off, there's a lot that could change between now and 2028. These projects could be cancelled or shift direction in some way from now till then, or they could already have changed, since the above image appears to trace back to October 2025.

Still, if these projects are upcoming for the Warcraft franchise, then fans have a lot to look forward to. If you want to catch up on the latest from World of Warcraft, check out our interview with several of Blizzard's lead developers on Midnight, the latest major expansion for the franchise.
