Wccftech is expanding its Mobile team and has an open position for a new Mobile Technology Reporter (Android). If testing Android DPs, new apps and games, taking apart APKs to look for fancy new features, and publishing speedy news stories is something that excites you, we are looking for you!

Here’s what a regular day at Wccftech looks like for our Android Writer:

  • Writing timely news stories to keep your readers informed
  • Keeping up with sources to break important news
  • Working on detailed reviews and comparisons (both OS and apps)
  • Keeping an eye on industry developments and exciting new projects
  • Representing Wccftech at media events

You are a good candidate for Mobile Technology Writer (Android), if:

  • You consider yourself an Android fangirl/fanboy
  • You are found following XDA threads to look for the next best custom firmware
  • You have a passion to trace out leaks about upcoming Android features
  • You get a rush when talking about how far Android has come or how it’s still better than iOS (you won’t get a chance to diss iOS everyday, though – remember, Android is the focus…)
  • You have exemplary writing skills and are comfortable with writing tech pieces of differing lengths (400 to 1500 words)
  • You must be available between 9am to 5pm PT. While you won’t be working throughout the day, we expect you to be available for timely publishing of stories.
  • And again, you must be absolutely crazy about technology – or you’ll get bored with our constant tech-talk!
  • *Experience with photography and videography will be considered a plus

Excited? Send us links to your published work, a short bio, and tell us about your experience with Android powered devices. If you have contacts in the tech industry, make sure you mention them too.

Email us at saad@wccftech.com with “Android Writer” as the subject; or apply directly on our site.
