tvOS 10.0.1 Beta 4 Download Released

iOS 10.0.1 Beta 4 for Apple TV 4 has been released. The update is meant for developers only.

tvOS 10.0.1 Beta 4 Released with Bug Fixes & Performance Enhancements

Apple is slowly and gradually moving towards the day it updates its entire lineup of software for mobile devices. As we move closer though, the company is gradually pushing out beta updates to upcoming software in order to add polish and performance refinements to it. Today, tvOS 10.0.1 Beta is seeing those refinements as the fourth beta is now available to download.

The update is only available for developers, hence if you do not have access to an Apple Developer Program membership then you're out of luck. Furthermore, if you have the beta running on your Apple TV 4 already, then updating to the latest tvOS 10.0.1 Beta 4 build is a walk in the park, and here's what is needed to be done in order to get up to speed:

  • Turn on your Apple TV 4 unit.
  • Launch the Settings app.
  • Now navigate to System > Software Updates.
  • Once the update is available for download, just install it right away. There's nothing more to it, really.

The installation will take a few minutes, therefore leave the Apple TV 4 unit alone when everything is in progress.

If you're a developer, we highly recommend updating your device straight away. Why? Because the update is meant to implement bug fixes and performance enhancements. If you've been having trouble lately with your Apple TV 4, then this update will hopefully iron things out for you.

Given we are few betas deep already, it won't be long till the final version of the software is made available for everyone to download. And whenever the update does go live, we will inform our readers about it, and bring them appropriate guides on how to update their devices.

Wrap Up

tvOS 10.0.1 is a very incremental update and brings nothing new to the table in terms of features. Nonetheless you shouldn't skip on the update at all no matter what happens. Anything that smoothens the operation of a day-to-day usage device can only be a good thing.

Stay tuned for more updates from us in the days to come.
