The Witcher 3 Eternal Hunt Mod is a Must-Have for Those Wanting to Re-Experience the Game Radically Different

The Witcher 3 Eternal Hunt Mod

While we wait for CD Projekt Red's next The Witcher saga, those wanting to replay the most recent entry in the series might want to check out the The Witcher 3 Eternal Hunt mod.

Freshly released by modder 'apokryphos', the "Eternal Hunt" mod for the PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the successor to the modder's "Advanced Combat System" mod. This mod aimed to grant players the ability to use all humanoid NPC combat animations within the game.

This new overhaul mod is a content pack featuring plenty of new animations, scenes, enemies, items, armor, weapons, lore, effects, pseudo-quests, and more. Additionally, it offers various complex new support systems for players to use, including 3D hud markers, a weather system, ice-breath, a blood and gore system, real-time meditation, wearable pocket items, and more. As the modder notes, this mod isn't intended for those first playing the game as it radically changes the game. "This mod is designed for those that have already finished the game and want to experience it again in a drastically different way", the modder writes. "It is absolutely not recommended for a first play-through."

The modder adds, "While [Eternal Hunt] can be considered an "overhaul", it is an overhaul unlike any other."

The full list of features can be found on the mod's Nexusmods page. It's an impressive overhaul package for sure, and we're pretty sure that The Witcher fans will appreciate this mod in the wait for the next Witcher game.

PC players interested in giving this mod a try can download it from Nexusmods here. As always, be sure to follow the provided installation instructions.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its expansions are available worldwide now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The game was released back in May of 2015 and has since sold over 50 million copies.
