Now, a new report has confirmed that Samsung's latest and greatest has managed to become the best-selling Android phone, and being an owner of the device, I can more than agree with it.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra deserves to be the best-selling Android phone, but Samsung has a lot of work to do
The report comes from the research firm Counterpoint Research, and it shows the list of smartphones that have managed to top the sales this year, as well as a comparison to last year. The Galaxy S24 Ultra, to no one's surprise, has become the best-selling Android device for this year. You can look at the image below:
As you can see in the image above, the Galaxy S24 Ultra sits on top as the best-selling Android phone, but the whole image reveals a slightly different story. We see that the top four spots are still taken by Apple's iPhone. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is the number one-selling device overall, followed by the standard iPhone 15. The iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 14 take the third and fourth spot, respectively. The iPhone 15 Plus is also on the list, sitting at 8th spot, which means that the entire iPhone 15 series has cracked the top 10 list. For Samsung, we see the Galaxy S24 Ultra in the 5th spot, the Galaxy A15 in the 6th, and the Galaxy A54 in the 7th spot. The base Galaxy S24 is also on the list in the 9th spot, with the Galaxy A34 taking the 10th spot.
Seeing the Galaxy S24 Ultra in the top spot as the best-selling Android phone does not really come as a surprise, especially when you consider the fact that the phone is packed with countless features that make it a worthy purchase over some of the other devices. The phone delivers great performance on a number of fronts, and the best thing is that Samsung is going to continuously support this device in terms of its features, which makes it an even better option for those who are looking to upgrade. Sure, it is still not the best-selling overall device, but Samsung is making its much-needed recovery in the smartphone market, which is certainly cause for celebration.
