A Suikoden V fanmade HD remaster is currently in the works, and it looks like it will be able to do justice to the fifth entry in the series created by Konami.

The project is currently being developed by 1vierock, the same developer behind the excellent Suikoden III HD remaster we reported on last month. While a launch date has yet to be revealed, the screenshots and the announcement trailer shared this month show how the project is already looking great.

Before starting work on the Suikoden V HD Remaster, 1vierock also released a Suikoden IV HD remaster, which looks every bit as good as the new project. The Suikoden III HD Remaster is also available for download right now.

While Konami hasn't shown interest in officially remastering the 3D entries in the series, the Japanese publisher will be showing the series some love in the future with the Suikoden I & " HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars. The collection will include the first two entries in the series enhanced with visual improvements, new character drawings, new environmental sounds, improved sound effects, and tons of quality-of-life improvements. The collection was supposed to be released this year but was eventually delayed to a yet-to-be-confirmed release date.
