An interesting new Starfield Faction mod adds the new Grindterra Industries faction to Bethesda's most recent hit title.

Created by modders 'ItsmePaulieB' and 'Boris4774', the Grindterra Industries mod adds this new faction to Starfield complete with a working crime system and a distinct clothing line for the faction. Interesting to note is that this clothing line can be purchased by players. According to the modders, the Grindterra faction is a new corporate faction financed in shadows by the UC to rival Ryujin Industries. "Being a private sector company, it can expand in Freestar space and uses its funds to hire “ex” UC government and military officials to help quite literally destroy its competitors", the description of the mod reads. "For the public it is a company with the goal to terraform the universe to their own design. In private, it is slowly expanding a private military force on as many planets as possible with the desire to be THE corporation."

While the faction will start as neutral to the player, it will become hostile if the player joins the Ryujin Industries Faction. "GRiNDTerra Industries tracks your crimes and will give you a faction specific bounty, and you can even possibly be arrested! (You will be taken to one of two UC prison locations) If there is any future content requiring faction allegiances, GrindTerra will be on side of UC and NOT Freestar collective. It does not add a bounty or affect your relation with UC. Pickpocketing and murder and trespassing is pretty much all there is at the moment."

PC players interested in giving this mod a try can download it from Nexusmods here. Aside from the main mod files, there's also an optional faction diversity plugin that can be downloaded.

Starfield is available worldwide now for PC and Xbox Series X|S. As covered some weeks ago, the game has been played by more than 13 million players across all platforms. Those into modding might also want to try to keep an eye out for this upcoming mod, which will allow players to pilot their very own mech.
