DICE's Star Wars Battlefront II will be out on November 17th on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while EA/Origin Access will include early access to the game (via the usual ten hours trial) starting on November 9 and customers who pre-order the Star Wars Battlefront II: Elite Deluxe Edition will get into the game on November 14th.

The single player campaign will allow players to take the roles of several iconic heroes, such as Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren. Droids are back as playable characters, which is certain to appeal Star Wars fans.

On the multiplayer side, one of the game's focuses will be to provide deeper progression for heroes, vehicles and ships (there are now different types of ships, including hero ships). Tauntauns may also be ridden on Hoth and this time, Star Wars Battlefront II will use a resource-based system rather than the dreaded power-ups of the previous game.

Star Wars Battlefront II is going to have four classes: Officer, Heavy, Assault and Specialist. Hero combat has been improved thanks to increased "physicality", while space combat also received a revamp by Criterion Studios. So far, the following planets have been confirmed: Vardos, Yavin IV, Kamino, Endor, Starkiller Base, Mos Eisley, and Hoth.
