Earlier today, A new trailer was revealed which showed the next title in the NFS Racing Series "The Run". The new trailer detailed a few key points of the game along with the release date of 18 November 2011, You can check out the full news here.

Joystiq has just detailed that the next NFS game is yet again being developed by EA Black Box which released previous Need For Speed games such as NFS: Undercover and NFS: World. However, Both the games weren't huge success and whether this game can surpass the other two in terms of gameplay we'll have to wait till a video presentation before making any conclusion. A good news is that the game would be based on the Frostbite 2.0 Engine which is being developed by DICE for its next gen FPS "Battlefield 3".

The Engine is considered to be the next big thing after CryEngine 3 and Unreal Engine 3. This could make the game a visual racing masterpiece however most of the engine being used would feature destruction which hints to another SplitSecond/Motorstorm themed game. Its likely that EA would pop up some more info on the game in the coming months. The game is set for release in November 2011 on the PC, PS3, 360 and Wii.
