Skype’s Latest Update Adds Call Recording On iPhone And iPad
Skype is one of the most popular apps for making audio as well as video calls. The company never seems to rest when it comes to adding new features to the table. Seemingly, the company has now seen fit to add call recording in its iOS app. This means that the latest version of the app now allows you to record calls on iPhone and iPad. In addition to this, the new feature is also available on almost all platforms, except Windows 10. So let's see some more details on the matter.
Skype Adds Call Recording On iPhone, iPad, and Macs, Update Now!
The procedure of recording the Skype call is pretty simple. All you have to do is tap on the 'Start Recording' button from the in-call screen. You can find the recorded call in the chat box where you can save the recording file for viewing it later. Use can also use the recorded file in an offline mode so that is a plus.
Call recording is entirely cloud-based and each party will be informed that the call is being recorded. This is a neat addition as it ensures that there is no breach of privacy. A banner will be displayed on the top of the display saying that the call is being recorded, so all participants can know about it. In terms of video, Skype will record videos as well as the screen that is being shared.
Call Recording is already available on all iOS devices. Do update the app if the feature is not yet available on the app. Moreover, the Mac version of the app also supports the feature. Probably in the near future, Microsoft will update the app with Windows 10 support.
There will be more to the story so be sure to stay tuned in for more details. This is all for now, folks. Do you think call recording is a necessary feature to add on an IM app? Let us know in the comments.
