SCHENKER has introduced its brand new VIA 14 Pro laptop, now upgraded with AMD's Ryzen 7 8845HS APU and 32 GB of LPDDR5x memory.
SCHENKER VIA 14 Pro Gets The Hawk Point Treatment, Upgraded To Ryzen 7 8845HS With Faster AI NPU Capabilities
Press Release: Schenker Technologies announces the update of the SCHENKER VIA 14 Pro: AMD's Ryzen 7 8845HS now replaces the older Ryzen 7 7840HS in the current model of this 1.39 kg lightweight, predominantly aluminum premium ultrabook. Additionally, a significant enhancement has been made to the 120 Hz 3K display in 16:10 format, which now boasts a higher brightness of 400 nits. Furthermore, the laptop chassis has been optimized with a new paint finish, making it far less prone to fingerprints.
Compact Ultrabook with Ryzen 7 8845HS and New Chassis Finish
In the premium ultrabook segment, the SCHENKER VIA 14 Pro stands as the AMD-based counterpart to the SCHENKER VISION 14 equipped with an Intel processor. Weighing a mere 1.39 kg and boasting a slim profile (313.5 x 222 x 18.5 mm), this laptop features a predominantly aluminium chassis (display lid, bottom shell). An enhanced paint finish addresses a previous flaw: compared to its predecessor model L23, the new M24 version is less prone to fingerprints.
The updated version now features a Ryzen 7 8845HS instead of AMD's Ryzen 7 7840HS. The ultrabook retains the ability to consistently utilise the maximum configurable TDP of 54 watts. With 8 cores, 16 threads, and base and boost clocks of 3.8 and up to 5.1 GHz respectively, the CPU's key specifications remain unchanged. Additionally, the processor retains an AMD Radeon 780M graphics unit with 12 cores, complemented by 32 GB of high-performance and energy-efficient LPDDR5X-6400 RAM.
SCHENKER VIA 14 Pro Now with a Significantly Brighter 3K Display
The 14-inch ultrabook's 120 Hz LTPS IPS display, boasting a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels, covers 100% of the sRGB color space and features a significantly higher brightness: the M24 model version offers a brightness level of 400 instead of 300 nits. Additional features include a 180-degree hinge, enabling the laptop to be opened flat for presentation purposes, AMD FreeSync support, and an optional 60 Hz mode.
Good Connectivity, Dual M.2 SSD Support, and USB-C Charging
The model update of the SCHENKER VIA 14 Pro does not bring any fundamental changes to the chassis, thus retaining its existing features. Alongside two USB-C 3.2 Gen2 ports equipped with Power Delivery and DisplayPort functionality, the ultrabook offers HDMI 2.0b, two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, a 2-in-1 audio jack, and a microSD card reader.
Overall, the laptop supports the native connection of up to three external monitors. Charging is exclusively achievable via USB-C with up to 100 watts. If a corresponding power supply unit is already available, the regular USB-C power supply unit provided with the ultrabook can be deselected in the laptop configurator on bestware.com. A 60 Wh battery provides runtimes of around 11 and over 8 hours respectively for local video playback or YouTube streaming and is screw-fastened - just like the laptop's bottom shell.
Alongside two M.2 SSD slots connected via PCI Express 4.0 and equipped with thermal pads, the VIA 14 Pro features a Microsoft Precision touchpad, a Windows Hello-compatible webcam, and a compact keyboard with white backlighting. Multimedia control is facilitated through the Fn key and Fn Lock, enabling the secondary assignment of the F keys for multimedia functions, as well as using the arrow keys as navigation keys.
