Schenker's Element 16 Laptop Is Semi-Modular & Powered By The Latest Intel Core Ultra Series 3 "Panther Lake" CPUs
Press Release: Pegatron and Schenker Technologies, in collaboration with Intel, are working together on a repair-friendly and sustainable 16-inch laptop concept with extensive upgrade options. The core of the semi-modular design consists of replaceable and easy-to-maintain components such as modular I/O boards for external connectivity, batteries, fans, keyboards, and more.
The reference laptop – featuring new Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors – was unveiled today at CES under the project name “M16P”. Schenker Technologies expects to launch the laptop in Europe as SCHENKER ELEMENT 16 this spring.
Semi-modular design is geared towards a long product life and sustainability.
A screwless quick-release mechanism on the bottom shell provides easy access to the laptop’s interior. Replaceable components include modules for the external ports on the left and right sides of the chassis, the battery, fans, storage, and a RAM module.
In addition to 16 GB of DDR5-6400 BGA RAM, the SCHENKER ELEMENT 16 offers an upgradeable SO-DIMM socket for up to 64 GB of additional memory. Up to 32 GB operates in dual-channel mode, and the BGA RAM can be deactivated if necessary. The keyboard is easy to replace, which not only simplifies cleaning and repairs but also makes it easier to switch between different layouts, such as ANSI and ISO.
An upgrade option for future motherboards, from the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor to future Intel platforms, is also planned. To facilitate any repair and upgrade projects, documentation of the required steps is available.
Based on this approach of comprehensive upgradeability and repairability, the SCHENKER ELEMENT 16 can be used for significantly longer than traditional mainstream laptops and can be adapted more flexibly to future technological standards or changing customer requirements. The sustainability concept is also reflected in other areas: many components of the laptop chassis are made from recycled metal or recycled plastic.
Modern Intel-based platform for business and prosumers
The backbone of the SCHENKER ELEMENT 16 is the new Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor – including the high-performance Intel Core Ultra 7 356H with 16 cores and up to 4.7 GHz. The latest integrated Intel Graphics delivers high efficiency in both productivity applications and entry-level gaming.
In addition to supporting modern standards such as Thunderbolt 4, Intel Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6, the SCHENKER ELEMENT 16 features a 16-inch display in 16:10 format with resolutions up to 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and 100% sRGB colour space coverage.

Testing in accordance with MIL-STD 810H ensures high durability and helps meet the stringent requirements of professional users in the corporate sector.
