It will be a massive comeback from the Korean giant if it posts the aforementioned figures

A senior researcher at Kiwoon Securities estimates that Samsung’s operating profit next year is expected to reach between 90-100 trillion won ($62-$69 billion), with multiple factors determining the Korean giant’s growth. The company has previously been reported to make its foundry business profitable by 2027, meaning that boosting 2nm GAA yields is also its priority, with Samsung’s first real test being how its first chipset fabricated on the aforementioned lithography, the Exynos 2600, can perform once it finds its way into the Galaxy S26 series.

Expanding its HBM4 market share, NAND and DRAM profitability, plus catering to customers’ needs for 2nm GAA wafers, are some of the ways that Samsung can reach a record operating profit next year

Park Yoo-ak, the senior researcher, has offered the most aggressive forecast for Samsung’s rise to the top in 2026, stating that the company will generate an operating profit of 100 trillion won next year. According to Korea Economic Daily, his estimations are based on the visible gains in HBM4 market share, and a 56 percent price surge for general-purpose DRAM.

Park Yoo-ak has also mentioned that due to rising NAND flash prices, Samsung is expected to witness major improvements to its revenue. Additionally, the company’s 2nm GAA process, which has so far secured orders from two Chinese cryptocurrency mining equipment manufacturers, along with inking a lucrative $16.5 billion deal with Tesla, is expected to improve its yields, which will help Samsung build a solid customer base.

The company has also provided Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 samples to Qualcomm for evaluation purposes on its 2nm GAA technology, but it is likely that Samsung’s role will become more pronounced when the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 launches next year. Another researcher, Kim Dong-won from KB Securities, states that part of the Korean technology behemoth’s success stems from increased Google TPU orders.

According to Newspim, the individual also states that expanded memory supply and increased Galaxy smartphone sales, thanks to Google’s Gemini integration, will benefit Samsung’s operating profit, with its estimated 100 trillion won figure representing a 129 percent year-over-year increase.
