More divisions are being added to the Apple-dedicated team, as the technology giant is set to announce a multitude of products in the future

Apple is currently developing a truckload of products where Samsung’s involvement is paramount, with the most notable of them being the iPhone Fold, which is scheduled to launch alongside the iPhone 18 series. The Cupertino firm also plans to introduce various upgrades to its tablet and MacBook range of products, and seeing as how the number of devices involving Samsung will increase, a new report states that the company is now upgrading its current team to respond better to Apple’s demands, which is the smart move, considering that the technology giant is one of Samsung’s most lucrative customers.

In addition, The Elec reports that Samsung Display’s ‘A Business Unit,’ which previously housed the A-Development Team and A-Sales Team, is now separated by forming A-Development Office, with the A-Sales group moved to the strategic marketing division. Furthermore, Samsung had established an ‘M Business-Commercialization Team,’ which was focused on micro-display development, targeting mixed-reality devices such as AR headsets.

Also, the ‘M Business-Commercialization Team’ was previously supervised by an executive, but with the reshuffling, it has transformed into an entirely separate unit. All of these changes have been executed because Samsung wants to strengthen its collaboration with Apple. The company currently supplies the highest number of OLED panels for the iPhone 17 series, and from the looks of it, history will repeat itself for next year’s iPhone 18 family.

The Korean manufacturer is not only focused on mobile devices, but also on larger computing products from Apple, such as the MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, the upcoming iPad mini 8, and iPad Air. Samsung was earlier reported to have established a facility that can mass produce 10 million OLED panels annually, making the company suitable to continue its partnership with Apple for when it announces its redesigned M6 Pro and M6 Max MacBook Pro models.

The new machines are said to feature a slimmer chassis, a notchless display, and a reinforced hinge to accommodate a touchscreen. This display technology is also reported to arrive to the iPad mini 8 next year, with Samsung providing Apple with 3 million OLED panels for the compact tablet. The iPad Air is also reported to go through an OLED transition, but that is expected to happen in 2028. As stated above, Apple has a bevy of products that require close attention from Samsung, which is why a team upgrade was initiated.
