In less than four months, 2016 will come to an end. We'd have seen quite a few devices till then, including Google's Pixel and Pixel XL. But as with all things tech, the world spins fast. We're now starting to witness an increasing amount of information surface about the Samsung Galaxy S8. The Korean tech giant's expected to overhaul features quite a bit and follow in the footsteps of the iPhone 7 and Galaxy Note 7. Some more information has surfaced in that end. Samsung's Galaxy S8 Will Feature Dual Edged Screens Of Sizes 5.1 & 5.5 Inches Claim Sources

Today, we're hearing some interesting claims about the Samsung Galaxy S8. While dual edged variants for the pair have been rumored previously, their sizes won't differ by much according to today's information. Folks from China now claim that the two variants for the Galaxy S8 will feature screen sizes of 5.1 and 5.2 inches. This sounds highly implausible and we'd expect the larger variant to measure at least 5.5 inches in the diagonal.*

Furthermore, there's more information about their internal codenames and model numbers. For starters, the alleged 5.1 and 5.2 inch devices are referred internally as Dream1 and Dream2. Samsung's also hesitant to assign four digit model numbers to the devices. Four is considered an unhealthy digit in Asia and therefore the devices will feature model numbers which consist of only three digits.

The model numbers of the two Galaxy S8 variants will be SM-G950 and SM-G955 according to today's information. There's little information on specifications. We've seen plenty surface on them in the past however. The Galaxy S8 will feature a dual camera and an Iris scanner according to previous rumors. This will effectively lend the device four cameras, making it the first of its kind.

Screen radians for the Galaxy S8 will also increase, allowing users more space to interact. RAM count is rumored at 6GB, but we'd like to treat that with hefty doses of salt at the moment. We're more interested in the Exynos 8895 and how Samsung's next generation mobile SoC will deliver. It's expected to be manufactured on the 10nm so performance and power management should be improved significantly. We'll be look out for more information on the matter.
