It's a good week for leaks. Just a couple of days back we saw what appeared to be the Nokia 8. The company will launch up to seven smartphones this year, according to the rumor mill. It's a nice change from the current course of the rumor mill. The iPhone 8 and the Galaxy S8 have dominated the news consistently over the past couple of months. Now, looks like Samsung Display itself has leaked the smartphone. Take a look below to find out more.
Samsung Display Releases Promotional Videos Showing Edge To Edge Smartphone Display
Out of all the features that the Galaxy S8 has been rumored to feature so far, an edge to edge display has been the most consistent. Both Apple and Samsung will remove the home button from their premium devices this year. To that end, a lot of renders have already depicted Samsung's device with such a design. Today, we've got two videos for you that show Samsung Display's all new edge to edge display.
While there's no certainty that the device shown below is the Galaxy S8, it does resemble what we've come to expect from it. The side bezels are virtually non existent in Samsung's latest display and the top and bottom aren't that far behind in terms of width either. There's no home button on the device either, which is another feature that is rumored for the Samsung Galaxy S8.
If you're fluent in Korean, then you'd have figured out what Samsung's trying to get across in the videos above and below. They're about the Korean tech giant's latest smartphone display, which can display 100% color gamut. It also uses less layers when compared to standard smartphone displays, so any device that will feature the panel will save some millimeters in thickness.
One thing that the device is missing is an edged screen. The screen panel which Samsung has launched will make it on flat screened smartphones. The majority of rumors which surround the Galaxy S8 peg the device with an edged screen. Of course, it's unlikely that Samsung will be as bold as to completely showcase the upcoming device in a video. There's no compelling evidence save intelligent conjecture that the device shown today resemble the Galaxy S8. Whether they do, we'll find out soon. Till then, stay tuned and let us know what you think in the comments section below. We'll keep you updated on the latest.
