Over the weekend, leaks for Samsung's Galaxy S10 lineup have shifted their focus. Initially, information for the largest variant in the lineup surfaced. Samsung is rumored to launch three devices next year, with an entry-level Galaxy S10 set to be the latest addition to the S10 lineup. The rumor mill's recent shift revolves around this device dubbed as the Galaxy S10 Lite. Today, we've got more information about it. Take a look below for the details.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Render And Screen Protector Leak Corroborates Earlier Reports

Earlier this month, we saw reports and rumors for the Samsung Galaxy S10+. These ranged from benchmarks to images and collectively revealed important details for the smartphone. Not only is the Galaxy S10+ expected to feature a dual front camera setup, but 5G is also rumored to make it on the smartphone.

Amidst all this, information for a new entry-level Galaxy S10 smartphone on the rumor mill seemed scarce. Well, that's not the case anymore. Prolific tipster Ice_Universe is back today and he's got two images. One is a render and the other is a screen protector. Both provide important details for the Galaxy S10 Lite's design and display.

The render confirms that Samsung will use an Infinity-O display panel for the smartphone and that the display will be 'flat'. The Galaxy S10 Lite will not feature virtual fingerprint recognition. Instead, Samsung is rumored to use a side-mounted sensor for the smartphone. Therefore, equipping it with an edged display is simply impractical. Additionally, what's interesting is that the screen protector does not feature a camera cutout. This, in turn, leads us to doubt the protector's authenticity. In all likelihood, this is an early unit which doesn't reflect current developments.

Finally, both the render and protector confirm yet another major development for the S10 Lite. Apple's iPhone X is known for reducing its display chin, and now, the Galaxy S10 Lite will serve as Samsung's reply to Apple for this feature. The smartphone is vastly different from its predecessor and will launch at just the right time for Samsung. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned. We'll keep you updated on the latest.
