Conclusion - Living on The Edge!

Our first MSI Z890 motherboard that has been tested is the MPG Z890 EDGE TI WIFI. This is a high-end motherboard with some solid features and a nice white design.

In the performance department, the Z890 EDGE TI WIFI offers solid performance on the CPU side, decent overclocking capabilities, and strong memory support out of the box with up to 256 GB of capacities supported and 9200 MT/s speeds. These are all great and you can expect performance to be on par with the higher-end designs. The Frozr heatsinks do a great job of keeping the VRMs, the M.2, and the Z890 PCH cool. The EZ release mechanisms for the M.2 slots are also great for DIY builders while the EZ PCIe release for the first Gen5 x16 slot is also a nice addition by MSI.

IO on the motherboard includes 17 USB ports including a Type-C on the front which supports 27W power delivery and two Thunderbolt 4 ports. There's also WIFI7 and 5 GbE LAN plus there are five M.2 slots which include a single Gen5 x4 and four Gen4 x4 slots.

The things we loved about the MSI MPG Z890 EDGE TI WIFI:

  • White Aesthetics Look Great
  • Decent Pricing
  • Good VRM Solution
  • Great For CPU Overclocking
  • Great Memory Support (DDR5-9200 MT/s)
  • Great VRM Heatsink
  • Lots of USB ports (Including Dual Thunderbolt4)
  • Five M.2 slots with heatsinks
  • Latest WIFI7 & BT5.4 Support
  • EZ Toolless Design For GPU, M.2 Slots
  • Good BIOS Firmware
  • ATX Form Factor

Things that we would have liked to see:

  • Better placement for CMOS battery
  • DIMM & PCIE slots could've been colored white too

The MSI MPG Z890 EDGE TI WIFI motherboard is a very nice option for Intel Core Ultra 200S PC builders. The motherboard offers a white aesthetic along with a superb array of features, and a great power delivery solution with boosted memory support capabilities. At $369, the EDGE TI is really nice for the price and should be on your list of white Z890 motherboards.
