Warning: This post contains some Resident Evil 7 spoilers.

Christmas is fast approaching, and Capcom is stuffing Resident Evil fans’ stockings with a new batch of horrors. Today Resident Evil 7 gets two new DLC add-ons – End of Zoe and the free Not a Hero. Capcom is also releasing Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition, which includes all the game’s DLC. You can check out a Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition trailer, which mostly focuses on End of Zoe, below.

End of Zoe shows players what happens to your doomed Baker Family ally after you give the biohazard cure to Mia, leaving Zoe to die. You play as a mysterious bearded recluse, simply named “Joe,” who takes a much more hands-on approach to dispatching Resident Evil 7’s monsters. After all the careful ammo hoarding required in the main game, it should be cathartic to tear Molded apart with your bare hands.

End of Zoe is the epilogue chronicling the final events of Resident Evil 7. Zoe Baker helped protagonist Ethan Winters throughout his ordeal at the Baker estate, but what fate awaits her after he is gone?

Meet Joe, the Swamp Survivalist

This chapter of the RE7 story occurs from the perspective of Joe, a hardy hunter who calls the Louisiana swamps home. His survival skills and brawny build will come in handy during the ordeal ahead. Joe’s life out in the wild has hardened him in body and mind. His hands are tough as oak—more than enough to smash some Molded heads. Unsure whether she can really be saved, Joe carries Zoe through the freakish hazards of the once-serene swamp. Her destiny lies in his hands, as does his own.

Exterminate the Molded

The swamp is now infested with mutated Molded. These shambling monstrosities just aren’t natural — wipe them out! A highly-violent strain of Molded has developed sharp thorns on its arms and head. Stay away or risk lethal injury. Another relentless form almost looks like it’s trying to maintain a human shape.

Meanwhile, the Not a Hero DLC lets fans take control of series stalwart, Chris Redfield:

Not a Hero features the return of Resident Evil fan favorite and veteran BSAA soldier Chris Redfield. Taking place after the horrific events that befell Ethan Winters in Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Chris is on the hunt for Lucas Baker to bring an end to the Baker tragedy once and for all. BSAA agents had tried to take on Lucas previously, but were unsuccessful and themselves became captives of the menacing trickster. Can Chris save the team while also tracking down Lucas through perilous poison gas filled dungeons?

As mentioned, Not a Hero is free, while End of Zoe is available to those who purchased Resident Evil 7’s $40 Season Pass, or for $15 on its own. Resident Evil Gold Edition includes everything for $60.
