Not a whole lot has been said on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Resident Evil 6, the latest main entry of the Resident Evil series released a while back on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, but soon players all over the world will be able to check the game out themselves. Earlier today, a new gameplay video taken from the PlayStation 4 version has surfaced online, showcasing one of the new additions of these new releases.

Resident Evil 6

The new Resident Evil 6 PlayStation 4 gameplay video showcases the Mercenaries Unlimited mode, also known as the Mercenaries No Mercy mode, which was previously only available in the PC version of the game. You can check out the new gameplay video right below.

Last week, Resident Evil 6 has been made available for pre-order on the Xbox Store, with the listing confirming the game's file size for the Xbox One version of the game.

Resident Evil 6 has been confirmed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One earlier this month, with Capcom confirming that Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 4 will also be released on the two current gen consoles in the future. Resident Evil 6 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will come with all additional post-launch content from the console version, such as DLC and all the costumes that have been made available through ResidentEvil.net

Resident Evil 6 is the biggest Resident Evil game to date with not one (Leon S. Kennedy and Helena Harper), not two (Chris Redfield and Piers Nivans), not even three (Jake Muller and Sherry Birkin), but FOUR (Ada Wong and Agent) campaigns that are all interwoven and can be played alone or coop in any order. These series staples and new characters face a global C-virus outbreak that’s threatening to destroy the world. In addition to all the story campaigns, RE6 includes a variety of multiplayer modes that vary up the action. Extra good news for everyone – the upcoming release will also include all the additional post-launch content from the console version (DLC and all the costumes originally only available through ResidentEvil.net).

Resident Evil 6 will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One tomorrow, March 29th, in all regions. Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 4 will be released later this year.
