Pokémon Legends: Z-A will release on Nintendo Switch worldwide in late 2025, a new trailer confirmed today.
Shown during today's Pokémon Presents presentation, the trailer provides a quick overview of the open-world game while confirming its late 2025 release on the original Nintendo Switch. Considering the release window, an updated version taking advantage of the power of the Nintendo Switch 2 wouldn't be surprising.
Besides featuring a new trailer, today's Pokémon Presents presentation also featured an extended look at Pokémon Legends: Z-A, confirming the starters - Chikorita, Tepig and Totodile, new combat features, the return of Mega Evolution and Wild Zones set in Lumoise City which will offer a very different sort of Pokémon catching experience compared to other entries in the series.
Today's Pokémon Presents presentation wasn't just focused on the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A, as another game called Pokémon Champions is in the works for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. Judging from the reveal trailer and the information shared today, this game seems to be the next evolution of the Pokémon Stadium series, as it will be a core game focused on battles complete with Pokémon HOME support, which suggests that every Pokémon to date should be supported.
