It will be a month for the iPhone X launch in almost a week and we’re still seeing developers adding support for the device’s resolution. If the app has not been updated with support for the iPhone X, the interface would appear to be squeezed inside the bars at the top and bottom portion of the display. Now, Niantic has updated Pokémon GO with support for the iPhone X’s resolution. In addition to supporting the iPhone X’s interface, the update also brings an immersive AR game mode. This further enhances the feature set of the highly popular AR platform. So let’s dive in to see some more details in a bit more detail.

Pokémon GO Updated With Support For iPhone X Interface And More

As we have mentioned earlier, Niantic has finally updated Pokémon GO with support for the iPhone X’s resolution. The taller display will allow for a much more immersive experience. Before today, users had to make use of the standard version of the app which came with huge letterboxes on the top and bottom.

The update bumps up the version number to 1.53.2 and brings quite a handful of changes to the table. Even though Pokémon GO is not as popular as it once was after its launch, the new update will bolster the growth to some extent as well. This is due to the fact that the new iPhone X interface provides a taller yet quite immersive experience.

In addition to this Niantic is also wrapping up a week-long challenge for players to catch 3 billion Pokémon that took place over the weekend. Farfetch’d was also unlocked globally along with other in-game perks. However, it is found more freely in the Asian regions.

Apart from this, Niantic has also announced that it will be launching a new Harry Potter based game in the near future. However, at this point in time, it is yet unclear whether the game would be designed following the same path as that of Pokémon GO or would it be developed from scratch. Nonetheless, it’d definitely good to see that Niantic is working on yet another popular franchise. We will probably see more details on it in the coming days. So do stay tuned in for more details on it.
