Google might have introduced a slew of upgrades to the Pixel 10 series, but it apparently cannot dig itself out of the myriad of software and hardware problems that somehow emanate every time the company’s flagship smartphones are officially launched. Once more, owners are reporting that their brand-new purchase is displaying screen glitches, which could mean a number of hardware or software problems.

Despite the Pixel 10 models being operational, the screen glitches give off a ‘colorful snow’ effect

Absolutely no one wants to spend a small fortune on a premium smartphone like the Pixel 10 just to have its screen begin to glitch in front of their eyes. Unfortunately, a Reddit user, Ok_Economist_3997, has a tale of caution to share for any consumer who plans on upgrading to Google’s latest and greatest smartphones. With visible evidence, the Pixel 10 owner has shown that the display is giving off a colorful snow effect, with the device seemingly operational.

Another Pixel 10 owner, Stephen, contacted Android Authority and mentioned that he faced a similar problem. On the Reddit thread, the Google Pixel Support profile has reached out to Ok_Economist_3997 so he can provide details of the problem, but a reply from another individual with the username KingOfCoders claims that these display glitches are being faced by a dozen other Pixel 10 owners.

Thankfully, the problem appears to go away for some smartphone users, indicating that it could just be a software problem. Remember when we reported the Tensor GPU being significantly slower than the Tensor G4’s graphics processor in Geekbench 6? We believe this problem could somehow be connected to outdated drivers, but the problem cannot be isolated and removed the same way countless others do on Windows, and ultimately, it is up to Google to issue such remedies.

Sadly, every year, some software or hardware problems materialize in the Pixel lineup, which will likely prompt customers to question why they entertain Google’s products in the first place. Hopefully, the company can get to the bottom of this, and for owners whose screen glitches do not go away, the right thing to do would be to offer immediate replacements.
