P-Studio's Persona 4 Revival is targeting a February 2027 launch, at least according to leaker lolilolailo, who proved to be reliable when it comes to games published by SEGA/Atlus. In a brief post submitted on ResetEra, the leaker quoted a message that noted the similarity of Persona 4 with Persona 3, adding:

Maybe even in the release month for the remake.

Persona 3 Reload launched in February 2024 to rave reviews from critics (our own Chris Wray rated it 9 out of 10) and a very solid commercial performance. It was the fastest game in the series to become a million seller, and it later surpassed 2 million units sold as of March 2025.

Persona 4 Revival is the highly anticipated remake of Atlus's beloved 2008 JRPG, originally released for PlayStation 2 and later remastered as Persona 4 Golden for PlayStation Vita in 2012. Revival represents the most comprehensive reimagining of the game yet, built from the ground up for modern hardware with fully 3D environments, rebuilt character models, and an expanded soundtrack that retains the iconic compositions of Shoji Meguro while introducing new arrangements.

The story follows a silent protagonist who transfers to the rural town of Inaba and becomes embroiled in a series of mysterious murders connected to a bizarre phenomenon: the ability to enter a surreal world inside television screens. Alongside a tight-knit group of friends (including returning fan-favorites Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko, Kanji, Rise, Naoto, and Teddie), players explore procedurally structured dungeons, battle Shadows using elemental weaknesses and the series' signature Persona-fusion system, and build Social Links that power up abilities in combat.

Revival carries forward all the content introduced in Persona 4 Golden, including the Marie storyline, the new Hollow Forest dungeon, and the expanded True Ending, while adding brand new story scenes, reworked Velvet Room mechanics, and quality-of-life improvements that bring the game in line with the modern Persona experience established by Persona 5 Royal.

Persona 4 Revival was announced last year during the Xbox Games Showcase. Atlus has confirmed the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
