Pocketpair's Global Community Manager Bucky might very well have teased the Palworld PS5 version.

The popular 'Pokemon with Guns' game took the world by surprise upon its (early access) release on Xbox and PC in January of this year. At its peak, the title had over 2 million concurrent players on Steam, surpassing all-time player peaks of Counter-Strike 2, Lost Ark, Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. Since then, player numbers have gradually been declining, but at the moment of writing, more than 24.000 players are still playing the title on Steam alone.

Microsoft, without a doubt, benefited from the game's initial success with Palworld quickly becoming the most popular game on Game Pass. Some months ago, following the game's success on Xbox and PC, Pocketpair's CEO talked about bringing the title to additional platforms, and even suggested that he would be open to being acquired. Fast forward three months and Palworld remains exclusive to PC and Xbox, but this might change soon. On X, Pocketpair's Global Community Manager posted the name of the game combined with a couple of colored hearts, likely a reference to the current platforms the game is available on. In the same post on X, the community manager added a "blue" heart as well after saying, "I want to add more hearts, but not sure what colour would fit...hmm...how about...."

As expected, this tease has many believing that this is a direct reference to a PlayStation release for Palworld being on the way. We've included a screenshot of the X post below.

Going by this tweet and the comments from Pocketpair's CEO some months back, a PS5 port seems likely. We'll update you as soon as more information about this possible PS5 version comes in. Would you be playing Palworld on PS5 once it drops? Is it still a good decision to release the game on other platforms? Hit the comments below.
