As you can see from the above mentioned changelog, OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan is a hefty update, and we urge everyone to install it right away to reap the benefits of it.

To get up and running with the new update, simply launch the Mac App Store making sure that you're connected to a stable Internet connection over WiFi or Ethernet. Now click on the 'Updates' tab at the top. Give the Mac App Store a few seconds to refresh and the update will pop right up, all ready to be downloaded and installed on your Mac. Click on the 'Update' button on the right, next to the update entry, and the update will start downloading onto your Mac.

The download can take quite a while depending on the Internet connection you have. We highly recommend that users do not download anything else when the update is in progress to make sure that everything goes as smoothly as possible. Once the download is complete, the installation process will require you to restart your Mac, hence make sure that you save all your work ahead of time.

Apart from the above mentioned changes, there are changes that live under the hood as well which add up to bring a powerful user experience to the fore, and we highly recommend that users go ahead and install the latest update onto their Macs to make sure that things run smoothly as possible.
