At the time of writing, the foldable market is largely dominated by Samsung. Sure, many other foldable phones have come, yet Samsung is the one taking the biggest piece of the cake. However, it seems like that is about to change because the OPPO Find N2 Flip is now finally available all around the world, and it looks like the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has some competition.
The OPPO Find N2 Flip is one of the best competitors to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 at a cheaper price
Considering how this is a flip phone, we are looking at flagship specs. Instead of going with the critic's choice of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the OPPO Find N2 Flip comes with MediaTek Dimensity 9000+, which in itself is a flagship chip. You are also getting 8 gigs of RAM and a minimum of 128 gigs of storage. The phone also comes with Oppo's MariSilicon X, an imaging chip aimed at improving imaging capabilities.
Moving further, the OPPO Find N2 Flip does not slow down in terms of the display. You get a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel inside with a peak brightness of 1,600 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate. OPPO talks highly of their "Flexion" hinge. Although it doesn't differentiate from other hinges, the "waterdrop" fold on this hinge on display is on the looser side, making it possible for the company to reduce overall crease. As far as durability is concerned, OPPO claims that the hinge can survive 400,000 folds.
Now, the outer display is what's most interesting about the new OPPO Find N2 Flip. Instead of going with something smaller, the company has decided to go with a 3.26-inch panel in a vertical orientation, and while it might normally be a problem but thankfully, OPPO has decided to make several exclusively optimized apps for the outer display. The best thing is that it can also be used as a display for notifications, making it even more helpful than before.
Moving onto the back of the device, the OPPO Find N2 Flip does things traditionally. You are getting two outer cameras, the primary one being the Sony IMX890 sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and on the outside, you have a 32-megapixel selfie camera for some really good pictures. The camera system makes perfect sense, to be honest, especially when you consider the fact that you can also use the impressive 50-megapixel camera for selfies, thanks to the front screen.
Powering the OPPO Find N2 Flip is an impressive 4,300 mAh battery with 44W fast charging, all credits to SuperVOOC charging technology.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the OPPO Find N2 Flip will cost you £849 in the UK. Sadly, the phone will not be making its way to the U.S. due to the brand's lack of presence. You can buy the phone in purple and black colors.
